Hanukkah program in pre-school
Early this month, a special Hanukkah program was celebrated at Enna-Marie's school. There were a lot of singing of Hanukkah songs, lighting of the menorah candles, playing some instruments, a play portrayed by two classmates, and eating of sufganiyot at the end. Sufganiyot is a ball-shaped doughnut that is first deep-fried, then pierced and injected with jelly or custard, and then topped with powdered sugar. EM and mommy have been buying sufganiyots as early as November as we just love them. Of course daddy also gets his share.

EM goes to new Gan
Our preschooler recently started going to a new gan that is closer to our home (good for mommy now that she doesn't have to drive for 15-20 minutes every day, her arms got sore in the beginning of the year..he..he..). This is Enna-Marie's second year and it is going pretty well. She already made some new friends, and in general enjoys going to school (although now that she's been home for most of the Israeli Sukkot holiday, she had a hard time getting back into the routine this morning).
The pictures below show her new teacher (first picture in the middle), her friend Aliyah, who also transferred from her previous gan, and new friend Scarlet (third picture to the left). They were taken on the first day of the school year.

Little busy bee...
This month Enna-Marie turned three and a half yrs. old and is a busy girl. She still goes to pre-school from Sunday to Thursday and to her ballet class every Tuesday, plays at home and sometimes she's out playing with friends, listens and dances to music, does a lot of coloring (and maze too which she just learned lately), cooks with daddy, helps mommy to do some chores at home, visits the beach every other week, and just enjoys her time being with us.
wearing daddy's short pants
brushing her teeth
learning to fold some laundry clothes
baking a carrot cake
playing at the beach with Elfida
biking her "big bike" in the balcony
dressing up with lingerie
having fun with Carmel at the beach
quenching thirst from "ice drop" (Filipino version of popsicle)
laughing with Farid while daddy plays with them
performing together with her co-pre-schoolers at the End of the Year Bahá’í School program
with her new friends at ballet class (can you spot EM?)
biking with Carmel
at the mall wearing huge crocs shoes
at a friend's swimming birthday party
playing beach ball with Rodrigo
kids in gan waiting to be picked up by their mommies
